Our Institution's scientific expeditions (and ours are very, very "scientific") are a manifestation of the pioneering spirit of our pioneer ancestry that drives our pioneering efforts in the expansion intellectual pioneering. Also we think nature is awesome (in the original e. burke sense) and like to be in it.
Our expeditionary forces are currently led and organized by Little Jane and Big Jane. One is a blue toy turtle. The other is a white subaru stationwagon. The Institute is not officially certain which is which, which may explain the staff's tendency to be a bit vague in refering to them..
